Unemployment levels are low and due to boarder restrictions, businesses are having a hard time getting and retaining great employees. No one wants your business to suffer or customer service to falter. Here are a few tips and giveaway ideas to keep staff happy and moral high.
What a difference a week can make.Literally overnight we have seen our businesses change. We have all had to quickly adapt. The one thing I have learned from living in the USA during 9/11 and then living through the recession of 2008, we will survive this. Not only will we survive but many of us will thrive!
The key message is to not give up and hide under a rock until this passes.Be proactive with your businesses, now is the time to keep your brand in front of your customers.Let them know you are out there and want to help them in any way you can.Your efforts now will pay off in Spades when life gets back to normal.
Some ideas:
- Become a digital business and reach out to customers through technology, video conferencing and the phone. Ask how you can help.
- Develope follow-up packages to be mailed after communications. This is a great time to put in a thank you gift or branded product – pen, magnet etc.
- Keep in touch with clients and prospects.
- Product video presentations added to websites, social media & sent via emails or on branded flash drives can keep your sales cycle going.
- Develope a "work from home essentials kit" to send to key clients or to give to your staff.
- Increase your social media posts to keep in touch
- Take care of staff and give them products with positive messages on them, “We’re in this together,” or “We’ve got your back.”
- Order new self-promotional materials so you are ready when in-person meetings and events begin again.
