How to Build the Best Swag Bag for Your Next Event

By 5 years ago

As a kid the highlight of the party was most times the “goodie bag.” That hasn’t changed as adults at conferences or events we look forward to the mystery and excitement of the event bag. Done right, your guests and attendees will remember you and the event for years to come.

I still use a favourite silver stylus pen that I got from a conference years ago and remember the host fondly. The bottom line is to give out branded items that are useful and memorable.

Here are some tips to ponder when putting your next swag bag together or selecting a promo product to give out at your trade booth.

  • Bigger is not always better. Keep your logo small and subtle. People are more apt to wear a T-shirt or use a drink bottle when your logo is not a neon sign. A tasteful laser engraving or embroidery on a shirt pocket can go a long way.
  • Be original and think outside the typical.Choose a product with flair or relevance to your end user. If you are a high-tech company, brand a bluetooth speaker, earphones or phone accessory. If you’re in tourism, try a luggage tag, backpack or travel thermal mug. Your product should also evoke whether you are a fun or serious brand.
  • Focus on quality over quantity. It is better to have one high quality gift than lots of little items that end up in the bin. Give a branded gift that people will really use, vacuum drink bottle, phone charger or nice notebook and pen combo.
  • Start with a smart bag. Make the bag itself stylish to keep and use. Jute bags are popular and eco-friendly but also consider a cooler bag, backpack or messenger bag. There are so many to choose from. These have larger print areas so you can create a conference design or message as well as brand with a logo.
  • Ask around. Try to cut costs by ask partners for swag to fill your bag with. They might also pay for an upgraded bag or product if you offer to put their logo on them.
  • Give virtual gifts such as a subscription to a service like Luminosity, featuring online brain games or to a relevant discount coupon or gift certificate in your industry.
  • Put in something for the kids. What’s the first thing the kids say when you come back from a trip away? “What did you get for me!” Put in something for them and you will be eternally thanked .A branded fidget spinner, temporary tattoo, light up yoyo are popular, and who knows, the adults may end up playing and having a competition with some fun stuff.
  • Cut down on the paper products. If you are giving out big catalogues or mounds of printed materials, load it instead on a usb keychain they can refer to and keep for their own use.

Swag bags and branded giveaways are great ideas. Make your next one relevant, quality and something that will make a lasting impression.

How the Holiday Office Party has Evolved

By Pipi Admin 6 years ago

The first holiday parties may have evolved from Saturnalia, an ancient Roman festival in honour of the god Saturn, held 17 of December of the Julian calendar. Later in time these festivities extended with events through 23 December. They celebrated in a big way with sacrifices in the Roman Forum and community banquet feasts. There was gift-giving, continual partying, gambling and masters even provided table service for their slaves.

Some may say “not much has changed.”But, the holiday office party has evolved over the years, even the past decade to become a more casual affair. There is more focus on the employee and celebrating the end of the year and company successes. The team is rewarded for a job well done.

The use of promotional products is on the rise and gift giving is more personal. We are seeing branded technology gifts such as power banks and wireless charger, picnic baskets and coolers.Companies are also being creative with branding party favours such as wine bags and wine glasses. And the party theme is important with branded balloons, umbrellas and beach balls, T-shirts and caps to also celebrate summer.

The gesture of the gift is what counts to say “Thanks!”We have a range of branded or unbranded gift ideas from drink ware, pens, notebooks and bags to more high end corporate gifts.Let us know how we can help make your Office Party a hit this year. Check out these great ideas
